This plant is native to southern Kyushu.

In Nansatz, you can see the flower, which is planted or wild, everywhere.

Especially, it is often put at the tombstone.

The light of the sun from behind a hill, Kame-ga-oka(亀ヶ丘).

Kame-ga-oka means a hill of turtle.

There is a rock in the shape of turtle on the hill.

Now, the sun is about to go down.

"Kimpou 2000 years bridge" (金峰2000年橋)

From below of the arch of the bridge,

that is made of laminated lumber, mainly japanese ceder.

It is one of the longest bridges of laminated lumber in Japan.

In my childhood, I ate many loquats from the tree around my house.

A rock oven

Today, I got to be thirty one years old.

My family had a dinner at an Italian restaurant "L'ORO DI NAPOLI" in Kagoshima city.

There is a heavy rock oven, imported from Napoli.

Kagoshima city and Napoli are sister cities.

I harvested kabocha squashes.

They are pretty sweet and big.

My wife is trying to create a new recipe of the kabocha squash now.

This is so-called "winter squash", but we get it early summer in Nansatz.
